Competency Data Standards

The IEEE 1484.20.1 standard (Reusable Competency Definition) provided a way to formally represent the key characteristics of a competency, independently of its use in any particular context. It enabled interoperability among learning systems that deal with competency information by providing a means for them to refer to common definitions with common meanings. This group (CDSWG20) will continue the effort set forth in that group by aligning it with current best practices and efforts across industry, academia, and government.
