ADL’s Director, Dr. Sae Schatz, and ADL’s Norway Partnership Center Director, Commander Geir Isaksen, will participate in the panel, “Bi-lateral Agreements Facilitating Working Cooperatively” which is chaired by Dr. Elaine Raybourn.

This panel will provide a holistic look across complex and diverse Training Solutions, Systems and Activities towards the achievement of common purpose. There are numerous international partnerships that are working together to solve training issues. The Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative has an established Partnership Network of 12 Defense-related collaboration laboratories (Co-Labs). The Combatting Terrorism Technical Support Organization (CTTSO) has 5 bi-lateral agreements with international partners. Through one of the CTTSO bi-lateral agreements, Sandia National Labs (SNL) has been working closely with the United Kingdom in an exchange program. The intent of these partnerships is to collaborate to help solve training complex issues. This panel will discuss the advantages of collaboration, provide some success stories, the path forward, and point out some of the roadblocks each has struggled with to achieve collaboration.
