This joint meeting of the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative Project Leads and the Defense ADL Advisory Committee (DADLAC) enables information exchanges on the latest DoD distributed learning modernization efforts, and associated policy and implementation efforts.

Goals for this meeting include: (1) Provide stakeholders with a more holistic view of ADL Initiative projects and how they collectively build together; (2) Facilitate discussion on emerging technologies and government reform/policies; and (3) Share distributed learning innovations, so that DoD organizations can use (or prepare for) the latest distributed learning modernization developments.

WHEN:
0900-1515 ET
ADL Initiative R&D Meeting: Once a year, the ADL Initiative conducts a portfolio review of its R&D projects with presentations from the lead performers (i.e., Principal Investigators) of each. Due to travel restrictions, this year’s meeting will be virtual. The R&D meeting is open to military and government personnel as well as contracted vendors.

1530-1700 ET
DADLAC Spring Meeting: The purpose of this meeting is to provide DADLAC community members with the opportunity to collectively discuss their respective programs, troubleshoot common and shared challenges, and review updates to DoD Distributed Learning policy (DoDI 1322.26). These meetings are open to military and civilian personnel, and those representatives may invite their direct, on-site support contractors with advanced approval. Outside vendors are not permitted to attend.
